Focus Structural & Civil was founded by Trevor Clack, Daniel Holland and Casey O’Sullivan, three experienced engineers who share a passion for practical engineering, strong client relationships and delivering projects that make a positive impact on the communities they serve.
After many years helping grow a large consultancy, Trevor, Daniel and Casey established Focus Structural & Civil to create the kind of engineering consultancy they believed clients and engineers deserved – one where experienced engineers remain closely involved in projects, relationships matter and great work is enjoyable to deliver.

Trevor has over two decades of experience delivering structural engineering solutions across a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare and community projects.
In 2003, Trevor established the Central Coast office of a leading national engineering consultancy and over the following decades helped grow the business into one of the region’s most respected engineering teams. During that time, he also served as a Director of the broader organisation, helping guide the growth and success of a consultancy employing more than 500 people nationally.
Despite his leadership responsibilities, Trevor has always remained passionate about engineering and the relationships that underpin successful projects. Known for his practical approach, commercial understanding and ability to build long-term client partnerships, he enjoys working closely with project teams to deliver solutions that are efficient, buildable and aligned with client objectives.
As a co-founder of Focus Structural & Civil, Trevor was motivated by a desire to return to what he enjoys most—working directly with clients, solving engineering challenges, and supporting the development of talented engineers. He remains actively involved in projects from concept through to construction, ensuring clients benefit from experienced advice and hands-on leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Outside of engineering, Trevor enjoys live music, supporting the Newcastle Knights and spending time with his two amazing daughters.

Casey has built his career around solving complex engineering challenges and delivering practical outcomes for clients. Since joining the industry in 2013, he has worked across a diverse range of projects, from high-rise developments and luxury homes through to coastal protection works and other technically demanding structures.
Known for his collaborative approach and attention to detail, Casey enjoys working closely with clients, architects and contractors to develop solutions that are both technically sound and commercially practical. He believes the best project outcomes are achieved through early engagement, open communication and a genuine understanding of each client’s objectives.
As a co-founder of Focus Structural & Civil, Casey is passionate about providing responsive service and building long-term relationships based on trust, reliability and quality outcomes.
Outside of engineering, Casey is a passionate surfer and can often be found chasing waves along the coast. When he’s not in the water, he enjoys spending time with his two young children and making the most of family life.

Daniel brings a unique perspective to projects, having built his career across both structural and civil engineering disciplines. After graduating from the University of Newcastle with First Class Honours in Structural Engineering, he discovered a passion for civil engineering and has since developed extensive experience delivering practical solutions across a broad range of developments.
His understanding of both disciplines allows him to see the bigger picture, helping clients navigate complex project requirements while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk and achieve better outcomes. Daniel is particularly passionate about collaborating with project teams, working through authority requirements and finding practical solutions to challenging engineering problems.
As a co-founder of Focus Structural & Civil, Daniel is committed to providing clients with clear advice, responsive service and engineering solutions that add genuine value throughout the life of a project. He also enjoys mentoring younger engineers and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to build successful careers.
Away from the office, Daniel is a keen musician who regularly gets together with his band for a jam session and the occasional local gig. Most of his spare time, however, is spent keeping up with his three children and enjoying family life.
